			<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>24. March 2016</strong> – The total number of people who have died or are going to die of cancer as a result of the nuclear accident in Chernobyl,<br />is estimated to reach 40 thousands. There has been a significant rise in the number of diseases caused by genetic disorders that occured among people who were born after the accident. These key findings are included in <a href="https://www.global2000.at/sites/global/files/TORCH%20-%20The%20other%20Report%20of%20Chernobyl.pdf" target="_blank">the TORCH study</a> which was published by the British radiobiologist Ian Fairlie in 2016. Dr. Ian Fairlie, who is an independent consultant for the British Government, will give a comprehensive presentation on these issues at Nuclear Energy Conference 2016. </p>]]></description>
